The Last Roof You’ll Ever Need

High Country Roof Revival is proud to be a certified GoNano contractor, offering homeowners access to advanced nanosilica roof treatment technology. Unlike traditional surface coatings, GoNano is designed to penetrate and strengthen asphalt shingles from within, helping improve durability, extend roof life, and create long-term savings compared to early roof replacement.

GoNano vs Traditional Sealants

GoNano’s asphalt enhancement sealant has been validated by the scientific community.

Traditional Sealants

  • Acts as an isolated, protective layer

  • Typical repair on microscale, adds layer of oil

  • Less durable, flexible and resilient to aging due to environmental conditions

GoNano Sealant

  • Modifies the mechanical properties of asphalt

  • Nanoscale (1000X smaller than a micro meter) forms precise shapes into asphalt pores

  • Bonds to each asphalt shingle, and each shingle to the other

GoNano Advantages

The result: research shows one treatment of GoNano extends the average roof’s lifespan by 15 years.

GoNano Advantages

Once modified, the new structural form of the asphalt enhances its durability, specifically its flexibility, hydrophoby, and anti-aging performance.

PERMANENT STRUCTURE MODIFICATION

The GoNano Effect

Modifies the molecular structure of asphalt shingles.

After application, reaction occurs with each shingle.

S1 particles enter into asphalt pores and move outward, connecting with other shingles.

During reaction, both inorganic & organic material create chemical links, called S1 particles.

THE RESULT

A UNIFIED BARRIER AGAINST STRAINS CAUSED BY ENVIROMENTAL FACTORS

GoNano technology has changed how roof sealants work. Traditional shingles are sealed with oil, which simply fills the gaps between them. GoNano works deeper — it permanently strengthens the molecular structure of each asphalt shingle. After application, a reaction inside the shingle creates S1 particles, which bonds the granules together. This inside-out protection forms a stronger barrier against the elements and helps extend the lifespan of your roof, saving you money.

Nanosilica

Nanosilica is an inorganic nanomaterial, like silica, with very high density (99%). It is synthetically created via one of three methods:

‍ ‍• Precipitation: silica reacts in a solvent, then purified and dispersed.
•Hydrothermal/Solvothermal: silica undergoes precipitation under high pressure and temperature.
      • Thermal reduction: silica heated to 1700–2300°C.Its enhanced performance comes from pozzolanic reactivity, which fills pores and strengthens materials.

GONANO CLASSES

Roof Classes and Certification

CLASS 1

Least resistant, can withstand at most a 1.25 inch steel ball test.

CLASS 2

Can withstand at most a 1.5 inch steel ball test.

CLASS 3

Can withstand at most a 1.75 inch steel ball test.

CLASS 4

Highest resistance, can withstand up to a 2 inch steel ball test.

Shingle Roof Classifications & GoNano Impact:

Roofs are tested by Underwriters Laboratories for impact resistance, simulating hailstorms.

-Classes 1–4: Class 1 = least resistant, Class 4 = most resistant.
 -
Class 4 test: 2-inch steel ball dropped from 20 ft → no damage or cracking.
 -
Class 3–1: Steel balls gradually smaller; lower classes have more granule loss and shorter lifespan.
 -
Lifespan: Class 4 = 22–25 years; Class 1 ≈ 10–15 years.
 -
GoNano effect:1 treatment → Class 1 → Class 32 treatments → Class 1 → Class 4

Environment

In the coming years, the effects of climate change will mean an increase in severity of hail storms. Impact-resistant shingles will be a necessity for protection against increased frequency and strength of future storms.

GoNano’s technology provides a major innovation that transforms traditional roofs into hailstorm resistant roofs at a fraction of the cost of hailstorm resistant shingles.

We are the first and only company to offer this technology to the residential and commercial market.

GoNano has been tested to comply with the highest North American standards.

In addition, GoNano’s technology is completely safe for the environment and poses no threat to human health.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration categorized GoNano’s technology as “quickly biodegradable”, “no bioaccumulation potential”, and “no harm to aquatic organisms”.
